Why students choose Turkey
Turkey has more than 200 universities and tens of thousands of programmes, so there is a wide choice of subject and campus. As a member of the Bologna Process, its credits transfer across Europe through ECTS, and graduates receive a Diploma Supplement.
Turkey also runs its own exchange programmes (Mevlana and Farabi) alongside Erasmus+.
Things to consider
- Turkey has four seasons and a very different climate from region to region, so check the city you are considering.
- Most programmes at PAL's partner universities are taught in English, and Turkish classes are commonly offered alongside.
- The cost of living is generally lower than in Western Europe, and most cities have at least one university with an active international-student community.
