Why students choose Malaysia
Malaysia is best known among PAL's students for affordability. Kuala Lumpur was named the world's second most affordable student city in the QS Best Student Cities 2018 ranking, and tuition and living costs are typically half to two-thirds lower than in Australia, the UK, Singapore or Canada.
Annual tuition is typically USD 4,000–6,000, with living expenses of around USD 400–700 a month.
Things to consider
- Bahasa Malaysia is the official language, though most university courses are taught in English.
- Malaysia is a multicultural society, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous Bumiputera communities. That broadens the experience, and it is worth knowing before you arrive.
